Design: An art
Like someone would always say ( me that is) every mistake in art is a design but the question is what do we call a mistake in design?
Designers should be one of the most credited professionals, I mean try looking at it from this view... have you ever wondered why you can't keep your jaw in place when you see outfits by Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Michael kors, Balenciaga and the likes, Well that's because You don't consider it that way but that's what true art is. What other way would you define a design that has features that are peculiar, creepy, cute and even mysterious... these are work of art that takes people from a realm of knowing to the unknowing.
Designs created even by local designers here in Africa are totally not given the value they deserve, starting from native clothing's like Adire, Ankara, Kampala, Kente etc. These clothing's don't just come alive, designs are what makes them show their true beauty, it's these designs that properly show how artistic one can be as a fashionista.
There's the part where Fashion is highly dependent on Designs. Looking back to the 90's till now we can see the vast change in the world but one major thing that is still holding the old days and current age together is Fashion and one of the trends that's going viral is actually outfits designed long time coming back to our present time looking even better. Designers are artist and it shows because a design doesn't get old it only gets innovated.
I'd say one of the best gifts we have as humans is creativity, the ability to think differently and bring uniqueness to the ordinary is exhilarating.
